What do you think of the Kansai Region in Japan?

The Kansai region is a great part of Japan with some of the funniest and friendliest Japanese people. The region is known for its sense of humour (most of Japan`s comedians come from the Kansai region) and wonderful food. Osaka and Kyoto are the two well known cities. Osaka is the second largest city in Japan and has wonderful food such as Takoyaki (octopus dumplings) and Okonomiyaki (savory pancake). Kyoto was the capital of Japan prior to Tokyo and is a great place to explore with its numerous temples, gardens and historical buildings.
