Has anyone seen the new Star Trek movie that is a prequel to the original series?

I have to admit that I enjoyed it, but there were flaws in the history. Spock never had a romantic involvement with Uhuru and would have never kissed a woman in public. In the movie they killed off Spock's mother, who I thought would come back after the whole time warp thing. But in the series later on, she is alive and well. Vulcan was never destroyed and Spock certainly never started a colony to restart his species. And one other thing that bothered me. Kirk just got the crap kicked out of him in the whole movie. That would have never happened with Shatner. LOL. Thoughts?
