Christians say "God doesn't send you to Hell - you send yourself there." But isn't that like claiming...?

That police don't send criminals to jail - they send themselves there? Obviously, criminals do not magically materialize inside jail cells upon commiting a crime. The police have to physically apprehend the suspects and force them to enter the cells! Likewise, if anybody goes to Hell, it will be because God physically (or spiritually?) places them there... they certainly aren't going to waltz in there of their own free will!!! An important difference, however, is that most prisoners in a jail cell did something to deserve being there, whereas most of the people slated for ignment to Hell are "guilty" only of not being able to believe a story about a talking snake giving an apple to a naked woman...
